Polar bears are the size of large brown bears. The largest males can weigh in excess of 1700 lbs, but the average is 600–1200 lbs and 8–10 feet in length. Adult females weigh 400–700 lbs.

Some move on land for the summer. One of the largest bears: males average 7-9 feet (may reach 9 feet) with a height of 5 feet at the shoulder. The average weight is 900 pounds and the record weight is 1600 pounds. Females are smaller weighing 400-500 pounds on average.

Heat Tolerance: Desert environments are characterized by high temperatures, so a polar bear would need to develop mechanisms to tolerate and regulate its body temperature. This could involve changes in its fur, such as a lighter color or thinner coat, to reflect sunlight and reduce heat absorption.

Taking a look at a polar bear's premolars and molars in comparison to other types of Alaskan bears, you'll notice they are sharper and might have more resemblance to a serrated knife than the flat crushing molars and premolars of other bears.
